As a researcher and writer in curriculum design, I am constantly looking for environments that evoke learning experiences. I am inspired by the phenomenon that physical spaces not only evoke old memories but simultaneously create new ideas.
My education philosophy is rooted in the belief that narrative has the power to deconstruct what is considered “academically rigorous” and integrate social emotional learning and culturally responsive pedagogy. Teaching and learning can occur beyond the four walls of the traditional classroom.
